Joyce Cardin (nèe Becker)
She decided to go to school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). One of her proudest moments was receiving her certificate. She then started caring for elderly patients in their homes. She also worked for Catholic charities and as a group home supervisor for mentally challenged adults. She continued her career caring for others until her retirement.
She had a family/friends Christmas party for many years. Everyone looked forward to this party. It was the one chance a year to get together with friends and extended family we did not see on a regular basis. Her rosette cookies and walnut nut balls were always a big hit.

Family was the most important thing to Joyce. She always enjoyed traveling to spend time with her grandchildren Ashley and Paul. Mom loved Vegas and Disney. We were lucky enough to travel to both several times. Her big trip was to visit Paul, Marsha and the kids in Hawaii.
